Woburn Public Schools HiSet Prep Class
Woburn, MA
The HiSet (GED) Preparation Course is for anyone wanting to prepare to take the exam. All ages and education levels are welcome. Test taking strategies, an overview of the official HiSet website, and content review of all 5 subtests--Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Math--make up the majority of the class. ***Please note that the actual HiSet test is NOT administered at WMHS and that this is a review/preparation/test-taking strategies class.*** The class is offered every fall (October-November) and spring (March-April) at Woburn Memorial High School in room E227. Please enter through the main lobby and follow the signs up to the second floor E wing. Students should come to the first class on the first night with exact cash, a money order, or a personal check made out to Woburn Public Schools for $300.00. They will officially register that night. There is NO NEED to pre-register. They should also have a 3-ring binder and a writing utensil. All official HiSet materials will be provided. The course is conducted in English, but the teacher Amy Cardoso is proficient in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, so she has the ability to assist students in these languages during the registration process. However, a firm grasp of the English language is necessary to do well in this course.
