Job Readiness classes help you explore your options and build professional skills that you can use in any industry. Industry-specific classes help you train for a specific job or industry, such as:

  • Accounting
  • Construction
  • Culinary arts
  • Customer service
  • Gaming
  • Information technology
  • Microsoft Office
  • Nursing and home health aid

 

In Massachusetts, some industry-specific classes are part of the MassSTEP network.

Most career preparation programs help you with your job search. Some programs also offer job placement services and support as you begin your new career.

MassSTEP Programs

MassSTEP programs are a specific type of career preparation program that belong to the MassSTEP network of education providers, job training providers, and employers. MassSTEP programs help you learn English, earn a high school credential, and/or earn an industry credential while they prepare for careers in high-demand industries. Current industries include:

  • Accounting
  • Advanced manufacturing
  • Clean water technology
  • Culinary arts
  • Information technology
  • Nursing
