First Language Literacy

First Language Literacy programs help you build foundational reading and writing skills in your native language. Many students take Native Language Literacy classes to build their reading and writing skills before continuing on to ESOL classes. Others go on to Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes and high school equivalency (HSE) classes. Classes are most commonly available in Spanish and Haitian Creole.
