First Language Literacy

First Language Literacy programs help you build reading and writing skills in your first language if you did not learn to read and write in school. Many students take First Language Literacy classes to prepare for ESOL classes. Others go on to Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes and high school equivalency (HSE) classes. Classes are most commonly available in Spanish and Haitian Creole.
